You ever make up a story or connection in your head and love it so much you are in danger of really believing it? Well I do all the time. It’s sort of a wonder I work in journalism with that tendency, but I suppose it’s beneficial that I’m constantly fact-checking to make sure I’m not just telling myself something again.
Anyway, the story I told myself that got me writing this was that the Caprica theme song was basically the music of Chrono Trigger with some really intense drums. Therefore, it is the same composer.
Then I had to go and look it up and it turns out to be totally not true. But along the way I was happy to find the composer’s blog, where he apparently includes samples of all music he’s been working on as it comes on TV — when to watch out for it and why he thinks it’s important to plot and character development. Cool!
Now I have to tear myself away from it because I haven’t finished the ep on hulu and I’m spoiling it for myself.
